Women are of course the most beautiful creation. But beauty is not a small word. It is the other name of health, peace and satisfaction. The biggest problem what women are facing in current age is calcium deficiency that results in Oestomalicia. It is a disease that is the outcome of poor calcium intake or calcium deficiency in the body due to any reason. Milk, dairy products and eggs are the biggest source of calcium.

Life is very fast nowadays; most women are employed some where. Their job constraints and shortage of time sometimes keep them away from foods having rich calcium content, the result is calcium deficiency. Another sad notion about milk and its products is that it increases obesity; it is a false notion as milk is a complete food. It does not enhance the chances of obesity … Read More

A Freethinking Secular Wellness Enthusiast Interviews Dr Ken Cooper, Devout Christian – Happy X-Day

I am NOT neutral about Ken Cooper. I like the man. I admire his contributions and initiatives; he is an exercise and fitness pioneer whose works have benefited countless citizens. In fact, I consider Ken Cooper an American hero, a trailblazer who provided a foundation for the wellness movement. Ken is also a friend of mine — we have been together on many occasions and shared membership in the late and lamented “National Fitness Leaders Association,” an honorary body whose members were selected by the President’ s Council on Physical Fitness and Sports with support from Allstate Insurance Company and the U.S. Junior Chamber of Commerce. We have exchanged lots of materials over the years. Going way back, his books on aerobics were among the scientific resources that helped convince my graduate school administrators that wellness was a field deserving of the research I proposed for a doctoral dissertation.

Term Life Insurance or Whole Life Insurance: Which Should You Opt for and Why?

What is life insurance? What is term life insurance? What is whole life insurance? Which one should I opt for? Which is the better one? These are common questions an amateur investor on the insurance front faces. The key thing to remember is that the purchase of term or whole life insurance not only depends on your individual financial goals but also on the financial wants of your family. In both forms, the policy holder’s beneficiaries, i.e. loved ones, get a lump sum payment on the policy holder’s death. This payment is called the death benefit. Let us understand each form below:

Stress, Health, and Workplace Culture

75 to 90% of all visits to primary care physicians result from stress-related disorders. Paul Rosch, M.D., President, American Institute of Stress

A couple of evenings ago, I was involved in what turned out to be a fascinating discussion with some very astute colleagues about the role of stress in the lives of executives and other high-achieving professionals. What we concluded ultimately was that stress was “the new smoking.” When we compared the role that smoking played in our society 20 or 30 years ago to the role it plays now, we noticed that in the past, before the long-term damaging effects were clearly understood, smoking was so common it was considered the norm, heavily supported and reinforced by popular culture, the media, in social situations and even the majority of workplaces. It was perceived as positive, and associated with being sophisticated, powerful, rugged, glamorous and even “sexy.”

What Is Anxiety and Tips That Will Help

Anxiety has been described many ways; however, one definition is a feeling of worry, or unease; often concerning an upcoming event or something that has an uncertain outcome. If one word would sum up anxiety it would be “uncertainty.”

Keep in mind; anxiety is caused by several key factors; environmental factors, genetics, medical factors like stress from a disease, brain chemistry due to stress and use of or withdrawal from drugs.

Symptoms of anxiety are fatigue, irritability, muscle tension, difficulty sleeping and restlessness. A doctor can diagnose anxiety by examining and talking with the patient.

Cognitive behavioral therapy works for some. It is a short-term talking therapy where a counselor or therapist works with a person to help them find new ways to approach challenges, including stress, fear and relationship issues.

There are things you and I can do that will provide quick relief from symptoms of anxiety such as … Read More

The Basic Instinct

The basic instinct for survival has always been the dominate force in life. A God given trait to survive is embedded in all living things. Humans are not natures rarest creatures. But, what we do have is a higher level of intellectual abilities. There again you would never know it by the actions of some others. It is our ability to gain intellectual powers through parental guidance and influence, by the way we adapt to our surrounding environment, and through the education we receive as we age. Unfortunately, today there remains a few that have shown a retardation, a decline of their mental faculties in responses to event, crisis, and circumstances that sometimes are beyond their control.

It is no more apparent in the leadership we have and or about to have. In anticipation of the 2020 Presidential election amidst this current Global health crisis there are many factors that … Read More
