Nearly 200 New COVID-19 Cases Confirmed In Iredell This Week

IREDELL COUNTY, NC — The number of known COVID-19 cases in Iredell County rose by 181 lab-confirmed cases in the span of one week, according to county health department data.

The new cases increased the county’s tally of known cases to 3,387. The county’s coronavirus death toll is 43, according to the Iredell County Health Department.

As of Oct. 9, ICHD said 11 county residents remained hospitalized for COVID-19 illness.

North Carolina reported 227,431 confirmed coronavirus cases in the state Friday, which included 2,034 cases confirmed since Thursday, according to the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services.
